American Monarch

History
American-Monarch Machine Company,Inc., was founded in 1946 by Robert Bodtke in Burbank, California.  Mr. Bodtke originated the automatic air feed and set the trend in the air-feed field for over 32 years.  The company was originally named Great Western Tools, Inc., and marketed an automatic air feed called the "Feedmaster" in California.

In 1949, the company expanded its market to include the entire United States.  By 1952, Mr. Bodtke had moved the company to Peoria, Illinois and renamed it American-Monarch Machine Company, Inc.  The air feed was then marketed under the trade name of Aero-Matic Automatic Air Feed.  Other products were added to the line beginning with the 33 HD air feeds in 1966 and the Pul-Thru, Pre-Set Non Powered Straightener in 1969.  In 1981, the Aero-Falcon line of small air feeds was introduced and 1982 marked the entry of American-Monarch into the coil handling equipment field with the "Eagle" line of reels and cradles.

Today, American Monarch offers over 179 standard models of air feeds, ten non powered straightener models and a full line of coil handling equipment.  American-Monarch maintains a national dealership system plus an international program in Canada and Mexico.
